Terms of Service

The rules for booking us and using this site: pricing, ownership checks, the written warranty, and how Texas law applies.

Effective June 5, 2026Apex Locksmith Pros · TX DPS License #B31197901

Short version: you approve the price before work starts, we verify you own the lock we open, every job carries a written 90-day warranty, and Texas law governs all of it. Each section below opens with a plain-words line in gray; the full text underneath is what controls.

Who we are and what you agree to

Booking a job or using this site means these terms apply.

Apex Locksmith Pros (on this site, "Apex Locksmith", "we") is a mobile locksmith company based in McKinney, Texas. By using this website, calling, texting or booking service, you accept these terms. If they do not work for you, the remedy is simple: do not book, and nothing here binds you.

License and regulation

A real Texas DPS license, and where to complain if we ever deserve it.

Locksmith companies in Texas operate under chapter 1702 of the Texas Occupations Code and are regulated by the Texas Department of Public Safety, Private Security Program. Our company license is #B31197901. You can verify it through the DPS license search before we ever ring your doorbell.

Unresolved complaints about a licensed locksmith company may be directed to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Regulatory Services Division, P.O. Box 4087, Austin, TX 78773-0001, or through dps.texas.gov. We would rather you call us first at (469) 712-5422, but the state channel exists and you are entitled to it.

Service area and hours

Within 35 miles of McKinney, daily 8 AM–8 PM.

We serve locations within roughly 35 miles of McKinney, covering North Dallas and Collin County suburbs. Hours are 8 AM–8 PM, every day. We do not run an overnight crew, and we will not pretend otherwise: a call at 2 AM reaches us at 8.

Arrival windows quoted by the dispatcher are estimates built on distance and traffic, not guarantees. When a tech runs late, the dispatcher tells you, and you are free to cancel at no cost any time before work starts.

Estimates and pricing

The price is agreed before work starts. Approved price, final bill, same number.

Prices on this website are estimates for typical jobs. Your firm quote comes from the dispatcher by phone or from the technician on site, before any work begins, and work starts only after you approve that number.

If the technician opens the job and finds something the quote did not cover, work stops and you get the new number first. You will never see a charge for work you did not approve. That is both our policy and what the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act expects of us.

Proof of ownership

We open locks for owners. Expect to show ID.

Texas law requires us to confirm you have the right to the vehicle or property being opened. Before work starts the technician may ask for a government ID plus vehicle registration, insurance card, lease or deed, whichever fits the job. We sight the documents; we do not copy them.

If authorization cannot be shown, we walk away from the job, and we do not apologize for that. The same rule that inconveniences you for five minutes is the one that keeps us from opening your door for a stranger.

Payment

Due when the job is done. Cash and all major cards.

Payment is due on completion. We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, Apple Pay and Google Pay. The technician provides a receipt showing the work performed and the price you approved.

Warranty and disclaimers

A 90-day written warranty on our labor. Beyond it, what the law itself implies.

Every job carries our 90-day workmanship warranty: if work we performed fails within 90 days because of our labor, we return and correct it free. Full coverage details, exclusions and the claim process are on the warranty page, which is part of these terms.

EXCEPT FOR THE WRITTEN 90-DAY WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY AND ANY MANUFACTURER WARRANTY ON PARTS WE SUPPLY, SERVICES AND PARTS ARE PROVIDED WITHOUT OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES. IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE DISCLAIMED TO THE EXTENT TEXAS LAW PERMITS A DISCLAIMER. SOME WARRANTIES IMPLIED BY LAW CANNOT BE DISCLAIMED, AND NOTHING HERE ATTEMPTS TO TAKE THOSE FROM YOU.

Limitation of liability

Capped at what you paid, except where Texas law says no cap.

TO THE EXTENT TEXAS LAW ALLOWS, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM A JOB OR FROM THIS WEBSITE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN QUESTION, AND WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

This cap does not reach where the law says it cannot: liability for our gross negligence, for intentional misconduct, or for anything Texas law makes non-waivable stays intact. Nothing in these terms waives rights you hold under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices-Consumer Protection Act; Texas law itself restricts how those rights can be waived, and we make no attempt to do it here.

Using this website

Read it, share links to it. Scraping it into your own site is theft.

Content on this site, from the price guides to the FCC ID tables we compiled by hand, belongs to Apex Locksmith Pros. You may read it, print it and link to it. Copying pages wholesale into another site, scraping the data for resale, or probing the site for vulnerabilities is prohibited.

Guides and price figures here are general information for North Dallas, not a binding offer and not professional advice for your specific lock. The dispatcher's quote is the offer. Where this site links to outside resources, those sites answer for themselves.

Calls and texting

One-job conversations, recorded for accuracy. STOP works.

Texting our number opens a conversation about your job and nothing else; reply STOP to end it, HELP for assistance, and standard carrier rates may apply. Dispatch calls may be recorded so the approved quote is on file. The details live in the privacy policy, which folds into these terms.

Disputes, governing law and venue

Texas law, Collin County courts, but call us before either.

These terms are governed by Texas law. Disputes belong to the state courts sitting in Collin County, Texas, including its Justice Courts for small claims, and both sides consent to that venue.

Before filing anything, call (469) 712-5422 and ask for the owner. Most disagreements in this trade are a misread invoice or a warranty claim that got misfiled, and both get fixed in one conversation.

Severability and changes

If one clause falls, the rest stand. New date marks every revision.

If a court finds any clause here unenforceable, that clause is trimmed to what the law allows and the rest keep working. We may revise these terms; the effective date above moves when we do. The terms in force on the day you booked govern that job.
